4.4.3 DATA-SET SUBSCRIPTION CONCEPT
The PDGS will implement the concept of user-defined Data-Sets. Data-Sets will correspond
to a set of products meeting specific user-defined criteria and for which the download is
automated via user-defined subscriptions.
Basic data-sets will accumulate products filtered according to any user-defined combination
of criteria on metadata supported for user-queries such as the spacecraft unit, the producttype,
the geographical-coverage (e.g. continental/local scale bounding box), the cloud-cover,
sensing period, etc.
In complement, the construction of more complex Data-Sets will be supported including:
○ Seasonal datasets, implying a time-constraint on the sensing-time of the data falling
within specific seasons;
○ Optimised cloud-free datasets, ensuring a minimal coverage of the user-area within a
given compound maximum cloud-cover computed over given periods (e.g. monthly,
seasonally, etc). The later will be supported for S2MSI1C and allow discrimination of
thin-cirrus from thick-cloud as cloud threshold.
Table 4-4 summarises the dataset subscriptions supported per product-type
