5.3.2.4 Payload Data Management Centre (PDMC)
The PDMC centre coordinates all PDGS operations. It is responsible for:
○ Mission planning activities with the FOS and scheduling of all CGSs and LGSs to
enable satellite acquisitions (MPL). It centralises all interfaces to the Sentinel-2 FOS.
○ The coordinated configuration of all PDGS stations and centres (MCC) in coordination
with the POM;
○ The federation of all remote PDGS inventories (DAX) and supply of coverage updates
to the CDS;
○ The management of collaborative opportunities implementations and coordination with
PDGS centres and the POM;
○ The management of all maintenance actions at system level (RP);
○ Hosting the PDGS Front-End Services for data-access towards the users.
o The operations of the Multi-mission User Services (MMUS) for Sentinel-2;
o The cataloguing and ordering operations towards the CDS/DAIL interface
through the MMUS function;
○ The operations of the Multi-mission User Services (MMUS) for Sentinel-2;
