6.16.5 OPERATION SCENARIOS – VERIFICATION OF THE INSTRUMENT
DATA AND QUALITY CONTROL PROCESSORS
6.16.5.1 New Processor Version Verification
This operational scenario stands for the verification of a new processor version and its fine
tuning prior to its official release and deployment. This scenario is complementary to the
Reference Platform validation activities focusing on the fine tuning of the new processor
version for the different processing centres and their associated processing scenarios.
The following steps are identified for this operation scenario:
1) Reception of the new processor version (including a self installing package containing
processor task executables, processor configuration files, associated documentation
and installation checkout test data) from the RP function;
2) Execution of the processor verification plan for the new processor version using
collocated DPC function embedding IDP and OLQC functionalities;
3) Delivery of the verification results to the RP function.
The use case of this operation scenario is the verification of new versions of the elements
composing the IPF (i.e. new IDP and OLQC functions versions).
6.16.5.2 Investigation of Anomalies on the Processing Chain
This operational scenario stands for the investigation activities on the processing chain after
the detection of processing anomalies.
The following steps are identified for this operation scenario:
1) Ad-hoc investigation of the processor behaviour on the collocated DPC infrastructure
at the MPAC;
2) Entering of an anomaly report via the RP function if a problem is identified at dataprocessor
level.
6.16.6 OPERATION SCENARIOS – END-TO-END SYSTEM PERFORMANCE
MONITORING
6.16.6.1 Interactive Monitoring
This scenario stands for the operator-driven visualisation in real-time of the PDGS elaboration
flows along mission-time such as:
○ Satellite planning and configuration along time, planned and unplanned platform or
payload unavailability periods;
○ Data reception at the station providing the statuses of the demodulators and front-end
processing activities along the acquisition segment;
