Its configuration is identical to a basic PAC as depicted on Figure 5-9. Figure 5-9 Collaborative Data-Access Mirror Configuration (CDAM) 5.3.3.2 User Sites Layouts for Data Access The physical configuration applicable at the user premises for data access is depicted on Figure 5-10 as corresponding to the different data access methods dedicated to each user category: ○ The GMES Service Projects and Sentinel-2 registered users will invoke the Sentinel-2 data access services through the MMUS function either interactively using the webclient or automatically via the download manager. ○ The general public will use the dedicated image browsing client to access to the Sentinel-2 TCI data. Its physical layout features: ○ Three CGS (CGS-1, CGS-2 and CGS-3) with a full configuration for data reception and processing; ○ One CGS (CGS-4) with a basic configuration and relaying level-0 received data to the PAC-1; ○ Two PACs (PAC-1 and PAC-2), each one holding a collocated LTA service function ensuring long-term data preservation in full redundancy of all Level-0, Level-1B and Level-1C data. In addition the two PACs are configured differently as regarding their mid-term role: o PAC-1 includes a processing chain configuration to process all CGS-4 circulated acquisitions and perform medium-term reprocessing operations on a 3 months level-0 archive. It is additionally sized for on-line publishing of one year of cloud-free level-1C data collected from all stations. o PAC-2 is sized for on-line publishing of one year of European coverage data supplied regularly by CGS-1/2/3 and by the PAC-1 for CGS-4 data; ○ One PDMC to perform the PDGS global operations (e.g. configuration & control, mission planning, data-access coordination, etc.); ○ One MPAC to perform Quality-Control and Cal/Val operations in coordination with the PDMC; The system level-configuration is provided on Table 5-1 detailing the circulation, processing and archiving configurations.
