Certific<strong>at</strong>e Program in Epidemiology<br />
Offered in collabor<strong>at</strong>ion with <strong>Tufts</strong>’ School of<br />
Medicine, the Friedman School of Nutrition<br />
Science and Policy, and the Department of Civil<br />
and Environmental Engineering, this interdisciplinary<br />
program is designed to help students<br />
understand, integr<strong>at</strong>e, and apply epidemiologic<br />
methods and research. <strong>The</strong> program is especially<br />
appropri<strong>at</strong>e for clinicians, professionals in public<br />
health and human service agencies, lawyers,<br />
industrial hygienists, pharmaceutical or biotechnology<br />
professionals, environmental engineers or<br />
scientists, and individuals involved in citizen activist<br />
groups focusing on human health issues. It’s also<br />
useful for individuals who are considering a career<br />
in epidemiology and/or public health but are not<br />
yet ready to commit to a full Master’s degree<br />
program. Open to individuals with a Bachelor’s<br />
degree, the certific<strong>at</strong>e requires the completion of<br />
five courses as follows:<br />
