Scholarship Funds ><br />
<strong>The</strong> Ricky and Peter Cohen Family Scholarship Fund,<br />
established in 2003 as part of the Pritzker Challenge to be<br />
used to help <strong>Tufts</strong> <strong>at</strong>tract, retain, and prepare talented<br />
African American, Hispanic American, and N<strong>at</strong>ive American<br />
students who will make important contributions to <strong>Tufts</strong><br />
and to our global community.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Sarah Rebecca and Myer Cohen Memorial<br />
Scholarship, established in 1951 in memory of Sarah<br />
Rebecca and Myer Cohen by Edward I. Cohen of the Class<br />
of 1919, his daughters Sandra and Jacquelyn Cohen, and<br />
James Cohen of the Class of 1921.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Harold E. Collins Scholarship Fund, established by<br />
the will of Harold E. Collins, A’17, to assist needy and worthy<br />
students.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Sherwood Collins Scholarship Fund, established in<br />
1990 by an anonymous donor. Awarded to gradu<strong>at</strong>e<br />
students in drama.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Conti-Dicken Family Scholarship Fund, established<br />
in 2004 to be awarded with preference to female students<br />
<strong>at</strong> Jackson College with limited means who possess high<br />
academic potential and a demonstr<strong>at</strong>ed commitment to<br />
achieving scholastic excellence in the study of arts and<br />
sciences.<br />
<strong>The</strong> K<strong>at</strong>herine E. Coogan Scholarship, established in 1994<br />
by Ruth E. Coogan in memory of her daughter, K<strong>at</strong>herine E.<br />
Coogan, Class of 1964, to be used for scholarships in<br />
economics for n<strong>at</strong>ive-born Americans.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Davis Cook Scholarship, founded in 1904 by Davis<br />
Cook, of Cumberland, Rhode Island.<br />
<strong>The</strong> James M. and Emily Cook Scholarship, founded in<br />
1903 by Henrietta J. St<strong>at</strong>es, of Boston.<br />
<strong>The</strong> William Oscar Cornell Scholarship, founded in 1890<br />
By William Oscar Cornell, of Providence, Rhode Island.<br />
Cornfeld Scholars Program, established in 1989 by<br />
Dr. Robert M. Cornfeld, D’55, to provide financial assistance<br />
to undergradu<strong>at</strong>e students who show exceptional promise<br />
to become future biomedical researchers.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Sanda Countway Scholarship Fund, established by<br />
bequest of Sanda Countway, WA 1904. <strong>The</strong> income from<br />
this fund is to be used to provide financial assistance to<br />
deserving undergradu<strong>at</strong>e students in Jackson College, the<br />
College of Liberal Arts, and/or the School of Engineering of<br />
<strong>Tufts</strong> <strong>University</strong>.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Cousens Scholarship, founded in 1891 by John E.<br />
Cousens, of Brookline, Massachusetts, in the name of John<br />
E. and Sara C. Cousens.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Howard E. Cousins Scholarship, established as a<br />
bequest in 1966 by the l<strong>at</strong>e Howard E. Cousins, of Arlington,<br />
Massachusetts, member of the College of Engineering,<br />
Class of 1909. <strong>The</strong> income from the invested principal shall<br />
be used to provide financial aid to students enrolled in the<br />
School of Engineering and qualifying for such aid, with<br />
preference to be given to residents of Salem and Arlington,<br />
Massachusetts.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Stephen and Bessie Cowey Scholarship, established<br />
in 1990 by <strong>The</strong>lma Cowey Swain, J’31, to honor her parents<br />
and to provide lasting assistance for <strong>Tufts</strong> students from the<br />
st<strong>at</strong>e of Maine.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Annie L. Cox Scholarship Fund, established in 1946.<br />
<strong>The</strong> George Howland Cox Scholarship, established in<br />
1949 for the benefit of students of high scholastic standing<br />
who are in need of financial aid.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Reverend Austin Crowe Scholarship Fund,<br />
established in 1987 in memory of Austin Crowe (brother of<br />
Blanche Haslam and f<strong>at</strong>her of Austin Crowe, Jr., A’61) to<br />
provide funds to aid worthy and needy students.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Margaret Smith Cullen, J’46 Endowed Scholarship,<br />
established in 2008, to be awarded to undergradu<strong>at</strong>e<br />
students in any class <strong>at</strong> the <strong>University</strong> and may be<br />
continued up to four years as long as the recipients remain<br />
in good standing.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Waldo O. Cummings Memorial Scholarship Fund,<br />
which gives preference to residents of Tyngsborough,<br />
Massachusetts.<br />
<strong>The</strong> William M. Currier Scholarship Fund, established<br />
under the will of William M. Currier, of Quincy, Massachusetts.<br />
Preference given to residents of Georgetown or<br />
Danvers, Massachusetts.<br />
<strong>The</strong> James O. Curtis Scholarship, founded in 1915 by<br />
Betsy B. Curtis, of Medford, Massachusetts.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Isabella C. Cutler Scholarship Fund, established in<br />
1985, in memory of Isabella Cutler, J’14, of Lexington,<br />
Massachusetts. Scholarships from the income of this fund<br />
are given to aid needy students, as requested by the donor.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Florence D. Cwirko Scholarship, established in 1978<br />
in memory of Florence D. Cwirko, J’47, by her mother Mrs.<br />
Julia Cwirko. Income is to be used to provide financial<br />
assistance to students in the undergradu<strong>at</strong>e college.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Elizabeth Slade Dalrymple Scholarship, established<br />
in 2008, by a bequest from Elizabeth Dalrymple.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Boryana Damyanova Intern<strong>at</strong>ional Students<br />
Scholarship Fund, established in 2006 to honor the<br />
memory of Boryana Damyanova, Class of 2006. <strong>The</strong> fund<br />
will provide scholarships for highly qualified intern<strong>at</strong>ional<br />
students who need financial assistance to be able to enroll<br />
<strong>at</strong> <strong>Tufts</strong>.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Benjamin H. Davis Scholarship, founded in 1897 by<br />
the Reverend B. H. Davis, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, for<br />
the benefit of students of the College of Liberal Arts who<br />
are preparing to enter the Christian ministry.<br />
