Teaching & Learning<br />

1. Develop an institutional plan through Shared Governance processes to further address the<br />

discussion, development, implementation, and assessment <strong>of</strong> student learning outcomes.<br />

a. Support and train instructional and student development faculty and staff on development and<br />

assessment <strong>of</strong> learning outcomes at the course and program levels, including training <strong>of</strong> some<br />

faculty to act as resources to others, expanding participation and promoting time for dialog.<br />

b. Develop human and financial resources to provide programs and services, expertise, and<br />

technology support necessary to implement student learning outcomes. (T.2)<br />

processes such as curriculum development and review, faculty and administrative evaluations, and<br />

3. Expand the <strong>College</strong>’s pr<strong>of</strong>essional development program by establishing a teaching and<br />

learning center in support <strong>of</strong> faculty and staff to help meet the goals and objectives in the<br />

<strong>College</strong>’s Strategic Plan, especially Priority #1 (Basic Skills); Priority #2 (Academic Programs);<br />

Priority #3 (Workforce Development); and Priority #5 (Student Development). (S.III.A, T.1, T.3)<br />

4. Expand innovative methods <strong>of</strong> delivery <strong>of</strong> instruction and student services to meet the<br />

multiple needs <strong>of</strong> students. (S.II.B)<br />

a. Improve the dissemination <strong>of</strong> information on instructional pedagogies and evaluation techniques<br />

related to students’ diverse learning styles. (S.II.A)<br />

b. Expand the use <strong>of</strong> technologies for the delivery <strong>of</strong> student services. (S.II.B)<br />

5. Use appropriate data to establish a level <strong>of</strong> funding for instructional materials that anticipates<br />

the need to acquire core collections and instructional equipment for existing and new campus<br />

libraries and learning resources. (S.II.C)<br />

6. Develop a coordinated library/learning resources system to provide, maintain, and track the<br />

use <strong>of</strong> broadcast/audio/visual services so that a seamless and user-friendly system serves the<br />

instructional needs <strong>of</strong> faculty, staff, and students. (S.II.C)<br />
