The "Instruction for being unsustainable" <strong>is</strong> the converse view of <strong>Corporate</strong><br />
<strong>Social</strong> <strong>Responsibility</strong> (<strong>CSR</strong>) of a company. Th<strong>is</strong> kind of approach to a <strong>CSR</strong><br />
strategy attempts to make the topic sustainability more specific in dialogue<br />
with employees or the extended circle of stakeholders. It <strong>is</strong> designed to prevent<br />
requirements lacking in practical relevance and having an abstract effect. The<br />
parties involved gradually develop a comprehensive bas<strong>is</strong> for the company's<br />
sustainability policy based on the "instruction for being unsustainable". Th<strong>is</strong><br />
provides clarity about what sustainability really means for the company and<br />
the employees involved (stakeholders).<br />

Generally, a cast-iron illustration of the complicated topics of <strong>CSR</strong> and corporate<br />
sustainable development <strong>is</strong> difficult. In fact, it <strong>is</strong> often much easier to determine what<br />
<strong>is</strong> unsustainable in a company. The creativity technique "Instruction for being<br />
unsustainable" takes advantage of th<strong>is</strong> fact. With a minor detour, the method<br />
provides a bas<strong>is</strong> for the definition of the sustainability and <strong>CSR</strong> of a company, by<br />
including the employees and other stakeholders. In smaller enterpr<strong>is</strong>es, the<br />
"Instruction for being unsustainable" can be implemented by all employees jointly. In<br />
larger companies, setting up a specific project team <strong>is</strong> more suitable for<br />
implementation. In addition, the method can be addressed in the stakeholder<br />
dialogue of the company, thus integrating a broader selection of target groups.<br />
To perform the method, a moderator will ask the attendees the following starting<br />
question for brainstorming at the beginning. The contributions will be documented in<br />
bullet form on flipchart papers:<br />
