No precise procedure of recruitment is laid down. In some blocks written test wereconducted while in others interview was the basis of selection. 59% HMs of sampledschools are satisfied with existing recruitment policy whereas out of 303 VSS membersonly 148 (48.8%) have shown satisfaction. 51.6% of VSS members are not satisfied withthe system of present recruitment.
