FIVE-YEAR PLAN (2007-2012)<br />
I. AIMS<br />
1. To help students develop the personality traits of Shatin Tsung-tsiners, in particular<br />
a. to be self-disciplined<br />
b. to be thoughtful and<br />
c. to be trustworthy<br />
2. To help students distinguish right from wrong, take the blame for their mistakes and<br />
learn from their mistakes<br />
II. SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS<br />
1. Strengths<br />
a. Most students are gentle, kind-hearted and are willing to follow teachers’<br />
instructions<br />
b. Most students are capable of obeying the school rules<br />
c. Committee members attach great importance to communication and cooperation<br />
with parents<br />
d. Committee members are energetic and cooperative<br />
e. The Principal, Vice-principals and other teachers are supportive and always give<br />
us their prompt advice and assistance<br />
2. Weaknesses<br />
a. Some students are less self-disciplined<br />
b. Some students commit minor offences owing to their absent-mindedness,<br />
overdependence or immaturity<br />
c. It is difficult to get full support from some parents who may neglect their<br />
children or over-protect them<br />
d. The values and behavior encountered by students in society, like being<br />
self-centered, wilful and materialistic etc, contradict the values promoted by the<br />
school and some students find it difficult to resist the former<br />
III. OBJECTIVES<br />
1. To help students develop the personality traits of Shatin Tsung-tsiners<br />
2. To encourage and help students observe school regulations and other rules within<br />
the school campus<br />
3. To help students admit their mistakes, take the blame for their mistakes, and correct<br />
and learn from their mistakes<br />
4. To identify the problems of the students and provide them with necessary and<br />
appropriate assistance<br />
5. To provide immediate assistance to students or teachers to help them deal with<br />
discipline matters<br />
6. To collect the opinions of different stakeholders (including students, parents and<br />
