with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council<br />

thereof,<br />

To AMEND <strong>THE</strong> LAW RELATING TO <strong>THE</strong> DEVELOPMENT<br />

AND IMPROVEMENT OF <strong>THE</strong> SILKWORM INDUSTRY.<br />

BE it enacted by His Excellency the High Commissioner<br />

and Commander-in-Chief of the Island of Cyprus,<br />

with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council<br />

thereof, as follows :—<br />

1. This Law may be cited as the Silkworm Industry short title.<br />

Protection (Amendment) Law, 1925, and shall be read as<br />

one with the Silkworm Industry Protection Law, 1922,<br />

and the said Law and this Law may together be cited as<br />

the Silkworm Industrv Protection Laws, 1922 and <strong>1925.</strong><br />

2. It shall not be lawful for any company, corporation. No mature<br />

persons or person whatsoever to instal, erect,, establish, JabUshai<br />

maintain or use in the Island of Cyprus any filature for without the<br />

the manufacture of silk without having previously ob- ^g^com!*^<br />

tained from the High Commissioner a license in that missioner.<br />

behalf to be granted on such terms and conditions as<br />

the High Commissioner may prescribe.<br />

Provided always that this Law shall not apply to any<br />

hand-reeling apparatus in common use in Cyprus.<br />

Passed in Council the thirteenth day of February, in the<br />

year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and<br />

twenty-five.<br />

(Amendment) Law, 1925, and shall be read as one with<br />

the Provisional Powers Laws, 1919 to 1924, and the said<br />

Laws and this Law may together be cited as the Provisional<br />

Powers Laws, 1919 to <strong>1925.</strong><br />
