A PROCLAMATION.
High Commissioner.
WHEREAS by an Order of His Majesty in Council
bearing date the 6th day of July, 1907, and
providing for the Government of the Island of Cyprus,
it was, among other things, ordered that the High
Commissioner should by Proclamation appoint the
place and time for holding each Session of the Council,
and that Sessions should be holden accordingly.
Now, THEEBPORB, I, Malcolm Stevenson, Knight
Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint
Michael and Saint George, the said High Commissioner,
in exercise of the powers vested in me in that
behalf do hereby proclaim and appoint that the Session
of the Legislative Council which was adjourned on the
17th day of February, 1925, shall be resumed at
Nicosia on Thursday the 19th day of March, 1925, at
half-past nine o'clock in the morning.
Given at Nicosia, this 6th day of March, 1925.

ORDER OF HIS EXCELLENCY THE HIGH
COMMISSIONER IN COUNCIL.—No. 1045.

IN exercise of the powers vested in him by the
Customs, Excise, and Revenue Law, 1899, and
otherwise and with the advice of the Executive Council,
His Excellency the High Commissioner is pleased to
order and it is hereby ordered that the wharfage dues
on the exportation of ochre stored in warehouses and
shipped from any Government Pier shall be ^cp. per ton.

ORDER OF HIS EXCELLENCY THE HIGH
COMMISSIONER IN COUNCIL.-No. 1046.

TITH ERE AS by Section 1 of the Tithe Law, 1881,
VV it is provided that the tithe on all crops and
other produce shall be taken in money and not in kind

unless the High Commissioner in Council shall, prior
to the month of April, in any year, direct that the
tithe on any crop or other produce for that year shall
be taken in kind,
And Whereas it has been shewn that it is expedient
that the tithe on all wheat, barley, vetches, oats, rye,
favetta and vikos for the year 1925 should be taken
in kind and not in money.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested
in him by the Tithe Law, 1881, and with the advice
of the Executive Council, His Excellency the High
Commissioner is pleased to order, and it is hereby
ordered, tliat the tithe on all wheat, barley, vetches,
oats, rye, favetta and vikos for the year 1925 shall be
taken in kind and not in money.
Given under the hand and official seal of the
High Commissioner at Nicosia, this 4th day

ORDER OF HIS EXCELLENCY THE HIGH
COMMISSIONER IN COUNCIL.—No. 1047.

IN exercise of the powers vested in him by the
Provisional Powers Laws, 1919 to 1925,
His Excellency the High Commissioner, with the
advice of the Executive Council, is pleased to
order and it is hereby ordered as follows •—
1. That n(->thing in this Order in Council contained
shall affect the prohibition ot the exportation
of goods contained in any Law or Regulation
of the Island of Cyprus.*
2. That the exportation of the goods mentioned
in the First Schedule hereto be prohibited
to all destinations.
3. That the exportation of the goods mentioned
in the Second Schedule hereto be prohibited to
all ports and destinations abroad other than
ports an^ destinations in the United Kingdom,
Hritish Possessions and Protectorates.
4. The Order in Council, No. 970, dated the
31st December, 1923, and published in the Cyprus
Gazette didAiedi the 31st day of December, 1923,
is hereby cancelled.
*Note :—The following are prohibitions imposed by the
Statute Laws of Cyprus—
All timber, charcoal, firewood, bark, tar, pitch and
resin being the produce of Cyprus except with the
license of the High Commissioner. Law 24 of 1879 as
amended liy Law 10 of 1924.
Manure. Law 24 of 1879.
Antiquities. Law 4 of 1905.
Game and skins or eggs of game or wild birds. Law
38 of 1922.
