A PROCLAMATION.
Administering the Government.
WHEREAS by an Order of His Majesty in Council, dated the 6th February, 1925, it was amongst other
things provided that the Governor might by Proclamation determine the time and place for
holding elections for members to serve on the Legislative Council.
Now I, John Cyril Douglas Fenn, Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, the Officer Administering the Government of the Colony of Cyprus, do hereby proclaim
and appoint that the elections for members to serve on the Legislative Council shall be held on the 1st
day of October, 1925, between the hours of 10 a.m. and noon at the following places :—
FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTION OF MOHAMMEDAN MEMBERS.
For the 1st Electoral District, Nicosia and Kyrenia, at Nicosia.
For the 2nd Electoral District, Famagusta and Larnaca, at Larnaca.
For the Srd Electoral District, Limassol and Paphos, at Limassol.
FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTION OF NON-MOHAMMEDAN MEMBERS,
For the 1st Electoral District, the Nahieh of Deyirmenhk, at Nicosia.
For the 2nd Electoral District, the Nahieh of Dagh, at Kato Deftera.
For the 3rd Electoral District, the Nahiehs of Lefka and Morphou, at Morphou.
For the 4th Electoral District, the Nahieh of K3rrenia, at Kyrenia,
For the 5th Electoral District, the Nahieh of Famagusta, at Varosha.
For the 6th Electoral District, the Nahiehs of Messaoria and Karpas, at Lefkoniko.
For the 7th Electoral District, all that portion of the Nahieh of Larnaca east of the Nicosia-Larnaca
Road, including Larnaca town (Municipal hmits), at Larnaca.
For the Sth Electoral District, all that portion of the Nahieh of Larnaca west of the Nicosia-Lamaca
Road, excluding Lamaca town (Municipal limits), at Pano Lefkara.
For the 9th Electoral District, the Nahieh of Limassol, at Limassol.
For the 10th Electoral District, the Nahiehs of Evdhymou and Kilani, at Kilani.
For the llth Electoral District, the Nahieh of Paphos, at Ktima.
For the 12th Electoral District, the Nahiehs of Khrysokhou and Kelokethara, at Phyti.
and in the event of a poll being required the various polling stations and the towns, villages and other
places to poll at each shall be as under :—
