High Commissioner.<br />

IN exercise of the powers vested in him by virtue of<br />

the Passports Law, 1923, and with the advice of<br />

the Executive Council, His Excellency the High Commissioner<br />

is pleased to order and it is hereby ordered<br />

that exemption from the requirements as to passports<br />

contained in the above mentioned Law shall be made<br />

in regard to the following class of persons that is to<br />

say natives of Cyprus who (a) are British subjects or<br />

(b) have not acquired any nationaUty othM* than<br />

Ottoman.<br />

COMMISSIONER IN COUNCIL.—No. 1043.<br />

High Commissioner.<br />

IN exercise of the power and authority vested in him<br />

by section 88 of the Municipal Councils Law, 1882,<br />

and with the advice of the Executive Council, His<br />

Excellency the High Commissioner has been pleased to<br />

order and it is hereby ordered that the Municipal<br />

Council of Kyrenia shall be at liberty to borrow the<br />

sum of three hundred and fifty pounds (£350) to be<br />

applied to the completion of the construction of the<br />

Municipal market and offices at Kyrenia.<br />

IN exercise of the powers vested in him by the Locust<br />

Destruction Fund Part Appropriation Law, 1898,<br />

and otherwise, and with the advice of the Executive<br />

Council His Excellency the Higli Commissioner is<br />

pleased to order and it is hereby ordered as follows :—<br />

The subjoined sum of money shall be appropriated for<br />

the financial period ended the Slst day of December,<br />

1924, out of the funds collected under the authority<br />

of the Locust Destruction Expenses Law, 1881, and<br />

known as the Locust Destruction Fund and shall be<br />

allocated for the following purpose in manner hereinafter<br />

ascertained :<br />

£2,500 for Interest and Sinking Fund :<br />

To Famagusta Harbour ... ... £1,250<br />

To Railway £1,250<br />

"MOTICE is hereby given that His Excellency the<br />

IM High Commissioner has been pleased to .direct that<br />

the British Consular visa on passports may be dispensed<br />

with in the case of Citizens of the Principality of<br />

Liechtenstein entering Cyprus.<br />

IN exercise of the powers vested in him by virtue<br />

of the Pharmacy Law, 1900, His Excellency the<br />

High Commissioner is pleased to declare the<br />

under-mentioned articles to be poisons within the<br />

meaning of the said Law :<br />

" Coca, or any preparation or admixture<br />

containing one or more per cent, of coca<br />

alkaloids ".<br />
