484 THE CYPRUS GAZETTE, 23rd OCTOBER, 1925. MALCOLM STEVENSON, No. 643. REGULATIONS UNDER THE QUARANTINE LAW, 1879. Governor. FN exercise of the powers Tested in him by the Quarantine Law, 1879, and otherwise, His Excellency 1 the Governor is pleased to make the following Regulations :— 1. Quarantine Restrictions shall be observed in respect of the places and diseases set forth in the Scheduls bereto as stated in the Schedule in regard to such places and diseases respectively. 2. Any person v:\xo has at any time during the voyage travelled by second or tliird class or as a deck passenger will be liable to the restrictions applying to that class irrespective of the class by which he is travelling •n arrival at the port of disembarkation. 3. All previous Regulations made in respect of tliis matter are hereby cancelled, without prejudice to Any matter or thing done or left undone thereunder. 4. These Regulations may be cited as the Quarantine Regulations of 25th Septenaber, 1925. Country. Egypt

TENDERS FOR THE CONVEYANCE OF GOODS TO AND FROM RAILWAY, TENDERS are hereby invited for the conveyance of goods to and from the Railway Station, Nicosia, and any house or store within, and outside, the Municipal Umits of Nicosia, for the 12 months ending the Slst December, 1926, Tenders should quote— Goods .,, .,. ; ... ... per ton. Parcels of 8 okes and under ... per parcel, A special rate may be quoted for any article of such weight or bulk as to demand a special rate on the Railway, 2. All tenders should be sealed, and should be addressed to the President of the Tender Board, Office of the Treasurer, Nicosia, 3. Tenders should either be deposited in the Tender Box outside the Office of the Treasurer or be sent through the post. Postage on any tender sent through the post must be prepaid ; otherwise delivery of the same will not be accepted. 4. Tenders should be marked " Tender foi conveyance of Goods to and from the Railway " in the left hand top corner of the envelope, and should reach the Office of the Treasurer not later than 11 a.m, on the 5th November, 1925. 5, All tenders must be accompanied by a deposit of a cheque or money order value £5 payable to the Government of Cyprus as a guarantee that the successful tenderer will sign the conditions of contract and furnish the necessary security. The £5 deposited will be forfeited on his failing to carry out these conditions. Deposits will be returned in full to the unsuccessful tenderers and to the successful tenderer after completion of agreement, 6, No tender will be considered unless in ^respect of it all the conditions above laid down have been strictly fulfilled. This tender becomes binding and must be carried into effect upon being accepted by the General Manager, Railway, 7, Conditions under which tenders are invited may be obtained on application to the General Manager, Famagusta. 81 Before the acceptance of any tender the tenderer will be required to furnish such security as the Government deem fit for the faithful performance of his contract and the care and safety of goods in his charge. 9.
