A' BILL
To AMEND THE PROVISIONAL PoWERS LAWS.
BE it enacted by His Excellency the High Commissioner
and Commander-in-Chief of the Island of Cyprus,
with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council
thereof, as follows :— •
1. This Law may be cited as the Provisional Powers s^°^* *i*'®-
(Amendment) Law, 1925, and shall be read as one with
the Provisional Powers Laws, 1919 to 1924, and the said
Laws and this Law may together be cited as the Provisional
Powers Laws, 1919 to 1925.
2. The Provisional Powers Law, 1919, is hereby amended o/^®aw?of
by the addition thereto of the following Section :— i9i9.
4. During the period of five years from the date of
the determination of the present war, as declared by
Section 2, the High Commissioner in Council, notwithstanding^
anything to the contrary contained in any
other Law, may make orders:—
(1) To regulate, permit or prohibit the exportation
and importation of animals and things.
(2) To regulate dealing with coinage and currency
notes and provide for the issue of currency notes.
(3) To provide for the custody by a Public Custodian
of property belonging to any person who either
during or at the date of the conclusion of the present
war was an enemy or the subject of an enemy State
as defined by any Proclamation or Order in reference
thereto, and for the disposaL thereof.
3. The Provisional Powers (Amendment) Law, 1924, is Repeal of

hereby repealed. 1924.
