APPOINTMENT OF BOARDS OF SURYEY ON GASH, STAMPS, &c„ AND ON <strong>THE</strong> UNALLOCATED<br />

STORES AND PLANT OF <strong>THE</strong> RAILWAY AND PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT,<br />

HIS EXCELLENCY <strong>THE</strong> GOVERNOR is pleased to appoint the following Boards of Survey to examine cash,<br />

stamps, etc, under Colonial Regulation 331, and to report upon unallocated stores under Colonial<br />

Regulation 385, at the end of the year 1925, and also to hold surprise surveys duruig the year ending the 31st<br />

December, 1926, on such dates as may be specially prescribed from time to time.<br />

2. The surveys to be held, forms to be used and members constituting the Boards are detailed below.<br />

3. The President of each Board on cash, stamps, etc, will arrange to assemble the Board at the close of<br />

ordinary business on the last business day of the year. Forms should be previously obtained from the Commissioner<br />

of the District. Cash, stamps, etc., should if possible be checked before the resumption of ordinary<br />

business on the following day. Bank balances must be reconciled at a subsequent date,<br />

item and initial each page of the ledger, and will enter those articles only in v. hich there are discrepancies on<br />

Form Gen. 37, recording the surplus or deficiency in red ink opposite the item in the ledger, which will eventually<br />

be adjusted departmentally from Form Gen, 37 after proper authority has been obtained. The Board will also<br />

report any excessive accumulations of stores, or other point that may come to their notice. Lists of articles<br />

which the head of the department wishes to be condemned or otherwise disposed of will be prepared in duplicate<br />

on Form Gen. 36 for the Board, who will examine the articles and report to Government on the form.<br />
