LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.<br />

WHEREAS under Clause 4 of His Majesty's Order<br />

in Council bearing date the 6th day of February,<br />

1925, and intituled The Cyprus (Legislative Council)<br />

Order in Council, 1925, it is ordered that the Official<br />

Members of the Legislative Council shall be the persons<br />

from time to time lawfully discharging the functions<br />

of the respective offices of Colonial Secretary,<br />

Attorney-General, and Treasurer of the Colony, and<br />

such other persons holding public office under the<br />

Crown in the Colony not exceeding six in number at<br />

any one time, as the Governor may from time to time<br />

nominate and appoint by an Instrument under the<br />

Public Seal of the Colony, subject to confirmation or<br />

disallowance by His Majesty signified through a<br />

Secretary of State ;<br />

Now, <strong>THE</strong>REFORE, it is notified for general information<br />

that His Excellency the Governor, under the<br />

power and authority vested in him by the above<br />

recited Order in Council of the King's Most Excellent<br />

Majesty, has been pleased to appoint the following<br />

holders of Public Offices in the Colony of Cyprus to be<br />

Nominated Official Members of the said Council:—<br />

Ernest Eldred McDonald, Esq.,Commissioner, Kyrenia,<br />

Charles Henry Hart-Da'/is, Esq,, Commissioner, Nicosia,<br />

Lieut,-Colonel Albert Ernest Gallagher, D.S.O., Chief<br />

Commandant of Police.<br />

Dr. Ernest Shawe Corsellis, Chief Medical Officer,<br />

George Frederick Wilson, Esq,, Chief Collector of<br />

Customs.<br />

Arnold Alfred Price Dunl)ar Stone, Esq., Director of<br />

Public Works.<br />
