IN exercise of the powers vested in him by virtue<br />

of the Wireless Telegraphy Law, 1913, His<br />

ExceUency the Govemor, with the advice of<br />

the Executive Council, is pleased to make and<br />

hereby makes the following regulations :—<br />

1. These Regulations may be cited as the<br />

Wireless Telegraphy Regulations, 1925,<br />

2. An applicant for a license to install and<br />

maintain a Wireless Telegraphy Receiving Apparatus<br />

shall submit his application to the Island<br />

.Postmaster, and such application and license<br />

shall be in the form and manner contained in the<br />

Schedule hereto.<br />

3. The applicant shall, if required, produce<br />

evidence of nationality and shall furnish the names<br />

of two persons to whom reference may be made as<br />

to character. The referees should be persons of<br />

standing, not related to the applicant.<br />

In the case of a company, society or other body,<br />

application must be made by a director. Any<br />

permit granted will be issued in his name and he<br />

will be personally responsible for the observance<br />

of its terms.<br />

4. The installation shall be subject to the<br />

approval of the Island Postmaster and shall be<br />

open to inspection at all reasonable times by<br />

authorised officers of the Post Office.<br />

5. Secrecy of correspondence must be observed-<br />

6. The applicant shall satisfy the Island Postmaster<br />

that he has in view some object of scientific<br />

value or general public utility and that he is<br />

competent to carry out experiments in wireless<br />

reception.<br />

7. The fee for a license to install and maintain<br />

a Wireless Telegraphy Receiving Apparatus shall<br />

be ten shillings payable in advance and such<br />

license shall remain in force until the Slst December<br />

following the date on which the same is taken out.<br />

8. A license issued under the provisions of these<br />

Regulations shall entitle the holder to install and<br />

maintain an apparatus which is capable of receiving<br />

messages only, but shall not entitle the holder to<br />

install an apparatus which is capable in any way<br />

of transmitting messages. The installation or<br />

maintenance of an apparatus capable of transmitting<br />

messages is prohibited.<br />
