not be advised to exercise his power of disallowance<br />

with regard to the following Laws enacted by the<br />

Legislative Council of Cyprus :—<br />

No. 4 of <strong>1925.</strong>—To appropriate an Additional Sum<br />

not exceeding Forty-six Thousand Six Hundred<br />

Pounds to the Service of tlie Government of Cyprus.<br />

<strong>THE</strong> FOREST LAW, 1889.<br />

"VrOTICE is hereby given that, under the provisions<br />

il of section 2 of the Forest Law, 1889, all the<br />

plantations and trees stated to belong to the Chrysoroyiatissa<br />

Monastery and situated within the boundaries<br />

of the villages of Pano Panayia, Kritou Marottou,<br />

Kannaviou and Melaniou, all in the Paphos .District,<br />

are placed under the protection, control and management<br />

of the Government for a further period of five<br />

years as from the 19th March, <strong>1925.</strong><br />

FAMAGUSTA HARBOUR DUES.<br />

HIS EXCELLENCY <strong>THE</strong> HIGH COMMISSIONER is<br />

pleased to direct the publication of the following<br />

Regulations :—<br />

1. All vessels using any part of the Inner Harbour<br />

shall be charged the following rates, viz. :<br />

(a) Anchorage and Mooring (to be charged<br />

when a vessel is not paying Berthage dues)—<br />

^p. per diem for every ton of the vessel's<br />

registered tonnage ; provided that in the case of<br />

a vessel under 50 tons the charge shall not exceed<br />

the sum of Is. per diem, and that in the<br />

case of a vessel exceeding 50 tons but not exceeding<br />

100 tons the charge shall not exceed<br />

2s. per diem.<br />

(&) Berthage alongside Wharf or Jetty—<br />

^cp. per diem for every ton of the vessel's<br />

registered tonnage.<br />

2. One-half of the rates chargeable in respect of<br />

Anchorage and Mooring under the preceding Regulation<br />

shall be paid by vessels registered as Cyprus ships.<br />

3. Ships, other than Cyprus ships, laying up for the<br />

winter shall pay Anchorage and Mooring Dues at half<br />

rates. The winter shall be reckoned as from the 15th<br />

day of November in any year to the 15th day of<br />

March in the following year.<br />

4. For the purpose of the rates herein prescribed<br />

any portion of the day shall be counted as one day.<br />

5. The rates above mentioned shall be charged in<br />

addition to Shipping Dues.<br />

6. The following craft shall be exeippt from the<br />

rates herein prescribed :—<br />

(a) All ships registered as Cyprus ^hips laying up<br />

for the winter in the Inner Harbour, provided that<br />

they moor at such places as the Harbour Master<br />

shall direct. The winter shall be recl^oned as from<br />

the 15th day of November in any year to the 15th<br />

day of March in the following year.<br />

(b) Lighters and boats licensed under the Boats<br />

Regulations Law, 1884 ; fishing boats and pleasure<br />

boats. ;<br />

(c) Ships of War. I<br />

(i) Yachts belonging to recognised clubs and<br />

wholly in ballast.<br />

7. These Regulations shall come into force on and<br />

after the 1st day of May, <strong>1925.</strong><br />

8. The Order of His ExceUency the High Commissioner<br />

dated 19th April, 1906, published in the Cyprus<br />

Gazette No. 851 of the 27th April, 1906, is revoked<br />

as from the date on which these Regulations shall<br />

come into force.<br />
