Pounds to the Service of tlie Government of Cyprus.

THE FOREST LAW, 1889.
"VrOTICE is hereby given that, under the provisions
il of section 2 of the Forest Law, 1889, all the
plantations and trees stated to belong to the Chrysoroyiatissa
Monastery and situated within the boundaries
of the villages of Pano Panayia, Kritou Marottou,
Kannaviou and Melaniou, all in the Paphos .District,
are placed under the protection, control and management
of the Government for a further period of five
years as from the 19th March, 1925.

FAMAGUSTA HARBOUR DUES.
HIS EXCELLENCY THE HIGH COMMISSIONER is
pleased to direct the publication of the following
Regulations :—
1. All vessels using any part of the Inner Harbour
shall be charged the following rates, viz. :
(a) Anchorage and Mooring (to be charged
when a vessel is not paying Berthage dues)—
^p. per diem for every ton of the vessel's
registered tonnage ; provided that in the case of

a vessel under 50 tons the charge shall not exceed
the sum of Is. per diem, and that in the
case of a vessel exceeding 50 tons but not exceeding
100 tons the charge shall not exceed
2s. per diem.
(&) Berthage alongside Wharf or Jetty—
^cp. per diem for every ton of the vessel's
registered tonnage.
2. One-half of the rates chargeable in respect of
Anchorage and Mooring under the preceding Regulation
shall be paid by vessels registered as Cyprus ships.
3. Ships, other than Cyprus ships, laying up for the
winter shall pay Anchorage and Mooring Dues at half
rates. The winter shall be reckoned as from the 15th
day of November in any year to the 15th day of
March in the following year.
4. For the purpose of the rates herein prescribed
any portion of the day shall be counted as one day.
5. The rates above mentioned shall be charged in
addition to Shipping Dues.
6. The following craft shall be exeippt from the
rates herein prescribed :—
(a) All ships registered as Cyprus ^hips laying up
for the winter in the Inner Harbour, provided that
they moor at such places as the Harbour Master
shall direct. The winter shall be recl^oned as from
the 15th day of November in any year to the 15th
day of March in the following year.
(b) Lighters and boats licensed under the Boats
Regulations Law, 1884 ; fishing boats and pleasure
boats. ;
(c) Ships of War. I
(i) Yachts belonging to recognised clubs and
wholly in ballast.
7. These Regulations shall come into force on and
after the 1st day of May, 1925.
8. The Order of His ExceUency the High Commissioner
dated 19th April, 1906, published in the Cyprus
Gazette No. 851 of the 27th April, 1906, is revoked
as from the date on which these Regulations shall
come into force.
