A LAW enacted by His Excellency the High Commissioner
and Commander-in-Chief of the Island of Cyprus,
with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council
thereof.
To APPROPRIATE A SUM NOT EXCEEDING FOUR HUNDRED
AND NINETY-SEVEN THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED
AND FIVE POUNDS TO THE SERVICE OF THE
TWELVE MONTHS ENDING THE THIRTY-FIRST DAY
OF DECEMBER, IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD ONE
THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FIVE.

W HEREAS
it is necessary to make provision for such
expenses of the Government of Cyprus for the year
ending the thirty-first day of December, 1925, as are
not already lawfully provided for or shall not hereafter
be provided for by any Law.
BE it therefore enacted by His Excellency the High
Commissioner and Commander-in-Chief of the Island of
Cyprus, with the advice and consent of the Legislative
Council thereof, as follows :—
1. This Law may be cited as the Appropriation Law,
1925.
2. In addition to the sums already lawfully appropriated
to the service of the King or which may be hereafter lawfully
appropriated thereto, there shall be issued and applied
to the service of the twelve months ending the thirty-first
day of December, 1925, any sum not exceeding the sum
of Four Hundred and Ninety-Seven Thousand Three
Hundred and Five Pounds for defraying the charge of
the Government of Cyprus for such period.
Limitation 3. A sum uot exceeding the amount set down under each
tobe\p'^t head in the Schedule hereto may be issued and spent in
on Personal Tcspcct of the Establishment or Service specified and referred
Emoluments ^^ therein ; provided that the total sum spent on Personal
Emoluments during the year, appropriated under this
Law, shall not exceed the sum of Two Hundred and
Sixty Thousand Eight Hundred and Eleven Pounds.
