IN exercise of the powers vested in him by the
Municipal Councils Law, 1882, and otherwise,
and with the advice of the Executive Council, His
Excellency tbe Governor has been pleased to order
and it is hereby ordered that the Municipal Council of
Famagusta-Varosha shall be at liberty to borrow the
sum of four thousand pounds (£4,000) at a rate of
interest not exceeding eight per cent. (8%) for the
purpose of paying off all outstanding loans except those
which have been contracted with the Government.
Given under the hand and official seal of the
Governor at Nicosia, this Gtli day of May,
1925.

LARNACA MUNICIPALITY.
HIS EXCELLENCY THE HIGH COMMISSIONEE has
been pleased to approve the following Bye-laws
made by the Municipal Council of Larnaca.

BYE-LAWS MADE BT THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF
LAENACA.
Article 4 of the Bye-laws in respect to market fees,
which were published on page 292 of the Cyprus
Gazette No. 1434 of the 5th July, 1920, .shall be
amended to read as follows :—
The market fees prescribed by Article 3 shall
either be reduced or waived altogether on one day
to be fixed by the Municipal Council in each week
in every month of the year, such day being termed
*' Market day ".
Provided always that the present Article shall not
be taken to apply to any market fees chargeable
under paragraph (h) of Article 2.
