A BILL
To AMEND THE LAW AS TO PORT REGULATIONS.
BE it enacted by His Excellency the Governor and
Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Cyprus, with the
advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as
follows:—
1. This Law may be cited as the Port Regulations
(Amendment, No: 2) Law, 1925, and shall be read as one
with the Port Regulations Law, 1879, (hereinafter referred
to as the Principal Law), and the Port Regulations
(Amendment) Law, 1925, and the said Laws and this Law
mav together be cited as the Port Regulations Laws, 1879
to (No. 2) 1925.
2. The Chief Collector of Customs may compromise and
compound any action or proceeding which shaU at any
time hereafter be necessary or commenced by his authority
or under his control against any person for the recovery
of penalties incurred under the provisions of the
Principal Law or any amendment thereof on such terms
and conditions as he shall in his absolute discretion think
proper with full power for him or any of his officers or
agents by him duly authorised in that behalf to accept
the penalties so incurred or alleged to have been incurred
or anv part thereof without action or other proceedings
brought or commenced for the recovery thereof.
3. This Law shall come into operation on a date to be
fixed by notice by the Governor in the Cyprus Gazette.
