WHEREAS in pursuance of the provisions of the<br />

Missionary Educational and Medical (Alien<br />

Regulation) Law, 1922, the persons whose names<br />

appear in the Schedule hereto have applied for permits<br />

under the provisions of the said Law, And whereas<br />

the said persons have severally given an imdertaking<br />

in writing that they undertook to pay all due obedience<br />

and respect to the Government of Cyprus, and while<br />

carefully abstaining from participation in political<br />

affairs, they desired and purposed ex animo to work in<br />

friendly co-operation with the said Government in all<br />

matters in which their influence might properly be<br />

in him by the said Law atid otherwise, and with the<br />

advice of the Executive Council, His Excellency the<br />

Governor is pleased to grant to the persons whose<br />

names appear in the Schedule hereto a permit<br />

respectively to commence or to carry on the work set<br />

down after their respective names.<br />
