IN exercise of the powers vested in him by the
Post Office Law, 1881, and otherwise, and with
the advice of the Executive Council, His ExceUency
the Officer Administering the Government is
pleased to order and it is hereby ordered that on
and after the 1st of October, 1925, the initial fee
payable in respect of parcels addressed to the
United Kingdom and certain British Colonies
and Foreign Countries upon which it is desired
to effect an insurance for the payment of compensation
for loss or damage while in transmission
through the Post, subject to the Postal Insurance
B«gulations, 1924, shaU be as foUows :—
To effect an Insurance of a sum not
exceeduig £12 4.^cp.
Order m Council No. lOlS, dated the 21st May,
1924, pubhshed in the Cyprus Gazette of the 23rd
May, 1924, is hereby amended accordingly as
irom the 1st of October, 1925.

to the United Kingdom and certain British
Colonies and Foreign Coimtries, containing papers
of value and on which it is desired to effect an
insurance for the value of their contents while in
transmission through the post, subject to the
Postal Insurance Regulations, 1924, shall be 2^cp.
ior each letter.
Order in Coraicil No. 1014, dated the 21st May,
1924, pubhshed in the Cyprus Gazette of the 23rd
May, 1924, is hereby amended accordmgly as from
the 1st of October, 1925.

NOTIFICATION UNDER THE PUBLIC
HEALTH (VILLA.GES) LAW, 1892.
IT is hsreby notified that His Excellency the Officer
Administering the Government has received a
petition, dated the 21st July, 1925, signed by twothirds
of the tax-payers of the village of Ayios Nikolaos,
in the District of Paphos, asking for the application of
the Public Health (Villages) Law, 1892, to that viUage.
In accordance with its provisions, the said Law will,
from the date of this Notification, be in full force and
effect in respect of the said village of Ayios Nikolaos.
