A PROCLAMATION.<br />

Governor.<br />

WHEREAS by an Order of His Majesty in Council<br />

bearing date the 6th day of February, 1925,<br />

providing for the Government of the Colony of Cyprus<br />

and intituled the Cyprus (Legislative Council) Order<br />

in Council, 1925, it was, amongst other things, ordered<br />

that the Governor should by Proclamation in the<br />

Cyprus Gazette fix the date upon which the said Order<br />

should come into operation.<br />

Now, <strong>THE</strong>KEFOEE, I, Malcolm Stevenson, Knight<br />

Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint<br />

Michael and Saint George, the said Governor, in<br />

exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf by<br />

the said Order of His Majesty in Council, do hereby<br />

proclaim that the said Order of His Majesty in Council<br />

shall come into operation on the 1st day of June,<br />

<strong>1925.</strong><br />

Given at Nicosia, this 12th day of May, <strong>1925.</strong><br />

ORDER OF HIS EXCELLENCY <strong>THE</strong><br />

GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.—No. 1051.<br />

Governor.<br />

WHEREAS by an Order of His Excellency the<br />

Governor in Council No. 1046 of the 4th March,<br />

1925, it was ordered that the tithe on all wheat,<br />

barley, vetches, oats, rye, favetta and vikos, should, for<br />

the year 1925, be taken in kind and not in money.<br />

AND WHBRBAS by section 5 of the Tithe Law, 1881,<br />

it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Governor<br />

in Council, from time to time, to make regulations as<br />

to the time, place and manner in which payments in<br />

respect of tithes shall be made :<br />

Now, <strong>THE</strong>REFORE, in excrcisc of the powers vested<br />

in him by the Tithe Law, 1881, and with the advice<br />

of the Executive Council, His Excellency the Governor<br />

is pleased to order that the following regulations shall<br />

take effect from the date of this Order in Council until<br />

further orders ; and it is hereby further ordered, that<br />

all payments in kind made in respect of tithe on wheat,<br />

barley, vetches, oats, rye, favetta and vikos shall be<br />

delivered not later than the 30th day of September,<br />

1925, at the Government Stores appointed for the<br />

purpose, to wit:—<br />

Kalokhorio Stores.<br />

\. For the Morphou and Lefka Nahiehs (save and<br />

except the villages stated under head 2 and 4), in the<br />

District of Nicosia :—<br />

the Stores situate near the Railway Station at Kalokhorio.<br />

Morphou Stores.<br />

2. For the following villages of the Morphou<br />

Nahieh, in the Nicosia District, viz. :—<br />

Dhiyeni), Kalyvakia, Exometokhi, Ayia (Ayia Kebir),<br />

Ornithi (Ornuta) and Chiftlik Tchumlekji Chiftlik,<br />

and Mora, in the Deyrmenlik Nahieh, in the District<br />

of Nicosia,<br />

and the following villages of the Messaorea Nahieh, in<br />

the District of Famagusta, viz. :—<br />
