To APPROPRIATE A SUM NOT EXCEEDING FoUR HUNDRED<br />

AND SEVENTY-SIX THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND<br />

FORTY-FOUR POUNDS TO <strong>THE</strong> SERVICE OF <strong>THE</strong><br />

TWELVE MONTHS ENDING <strong>THE</strong> THIRTY-FIRST DAY<br />

OF DECEMBER, IN <strong>THE</strong> YEAR OF OUR LORD ONE<br />

THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SIX.<br />

WHEREAS it is necessary to make provision for such i*""»bi«expenses<br />

of the Govemment of Cyprus for the year<br />

ending^ the thirty-j&rst day of December, 1926, as are<br />

not already lawfully provided for or shall not hereafter<br />

be provided for by any Law.<br />

BE it therefore enacted byHis Excellency the Govemor<br />

and Conimand6r-in^Chief of the Colony of Cyprus, with<br />

the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof,<br />

as follows :—<br />

1. This Law may be cited as the Appropriation Law, short title.<br />

1926.<br />

2. In addition to the sums already lawfully appropriated Appropriato<br />

the service of the King or which may be hereaftfer law- £476.944.<br />

fully appropriated thereto, there shall be issued atid applied<br />

to the service of the twelve months ending the thirty-first<br />

day of December, 1926, any sum not exceeding the sum<br />

of Four Hundred and Seventy-Six Thousand Nine<br />

Hundred and Forty-Four Pounds for def raying the charge<br />

of the Government of Cyprus for such period.<br />

3. A sum not exceeding the amount set down under each Limitation<br />

head in the Schedule hereto may be issued and spent in °^ ^heap&at<br />

respect of the Establishment or Service specified and referred on Personal<br />

to therein ; provided that the total sum spent on Personal Emoluments<br />

Emoluments during the year, appropriated under this<br />

Law, shall not exceed the sum of Two Hundred and<br />

Thirty-Six Thousand Three Hundred and One Pounds.<br />
