<strong>THE</strong> BURIALS LAW, 1896.<br />

WHEREAS it has been reported that the place for<br />

the burial of the dead belonging to the Christian<br />

community in the village of Pano Platres, Limassol<br />

District, is dangerous to the public health ;<br />

Now, therefore, m pursuance of the powers vested in<br />

him by the Burials Law, 1896, His Excellency the<br />

High Commissioner is pleased to order, and it is hereby<br />

ordered, that a new burial-ground, in substitution for<br />

the aforesaid, shall be provided under the provisions of<br />

the said law. (M.P. 1419/12.)<br />

TENDERS FOR <strong>THE</strong> DIKELLIA PRISON.<br />

TENDERS are hereby invited for the supply of<br />

articles required for use in the Dikellia Prison,<br />

to be deUvered at that Prison, for one year commencing<br />

from the 1st February, <strong>1925.</strong><br />

2. All tenders should be sealed, and should be<br />

addressed to the President of the Tender Board, the<br />

Office of the Treasurer, Nicosia.<br />

3. Tenders should either be deposited in the Tender<br />

Box outside the Office of the Treasurer, or be sent<br />

through the post. Postage on any tender sent through<br />

the post must be prepaid; otherwise, delivery of the<br />

same will not be accepted.<br />

4. Tenders should be marked " Tender for Dikellia<br />

Prison," in the left hand top corner of the envelope,<br />

and should reach the Office of the Treasurer not later<br />

than 11 a.m. on the 24th January, <strong>1925.</strong><br />

5. No tender will be considered unless in respect of<br />

it all the conditions above laid down have been strictly<br />

fulfilled.<br />

6. The tenderer shall be prepared to accept.-the<br />

prices tendered by him. The tender becomes binding<br />

and must be carried into effect upon being accepted by<br />

the Chief Commandant of Police and Inspector of<br />

Prisons.<br />

7. All details regarding the articles to be supplied<br />

can be obtained from the Local Commandant of Police,<br />

Larnaca.<br />

8. Befcsre the acceptance of any tender, the tenderer<br />

may be required to deposit samples with the Tender<br />

Board.<br />

9. The Government does not bind itself to accept<br />

the lowest or any tender.<br />

<strong>1925.</strong><br />
