F<strong>in</strong>ally, we address the question as to how well <strong>Muslim</strong>s<br />

feel themselves to be represented by these associations <strong>in</strong> <strong>Germany</strong>.<br />

This question was only put to those persons who had<br />

stated that they were aware of the respective associations.<br />

Overall, only 37 per cent of those <strong>in</strong>terviewed who were<br />

aware of the associations felt themselves to be represented by<br />

the associations to some extent at least. 50 per cent state that<br />

they do not consider themselves to be represented at all by the<br />

associations of which they aware. The rema<strong>in</strong>der were undecided<br />

(“don’t know”: 12 per cent) or failed to provide an answer<br />

(1 per cent).
