the proportions represented are as follows: DITB 16 per<br />

cent, VIKZ 7 per cent, AABF 4 per cent, ZMD 3 per cent,<br />

IR 2 per cent and KRM 2 per cent.<br />

With regard to whether the feel<strong>in</strong>g of be<strong>in</strong>g represented<br />

by the associations depends on the country of<br />

orig<strong>in</strong>, DiTiB has a clear orientation towards the country<br />

of orig<strong>in</strong> with 23 per cent of <strong>Muslim</strong>s of Turkish orig<strong>in</strong><br />

feel<strong>in</strong>g that they are represented by it. If only those<br />

Turkish <strong>Muslim</strong>s are considered who know DiTiB then<br />

the figure is 42 per cent.<br />

If only the actual target group of Alevis is considered<br />

for the AABF, the results show that 76 per cent of people<br />

are familiar with this organisation. Of the people<br />

who know it, 29 per cent feel represented by AABF.<br />

With reference to the total group of Alevis this figure is<br />

19 per cent.<br />

The <strong>Muslim</strong> school children liv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the households<br />

and school children of other denom<strong>in</strong>ations are significantly<br />

less likely to attend religious <strong>in</strong>struction, ethics<br />

classes and/or lifestyle, ethics, religion (LER) classes<br />

than Christian school children. At the same time significantly<br />

more <strong>Muslim</strong> school children and children belong<strong>in</strong>g<br />

to different religions attend ethics/LER classes<br />

and a considerable proportion attend Christian religious<br />

<strong>in</strong>struction. However, the majority of Christian<br />

school children attend Christian religious <strong>in</strong>struction
