regions that they live <strong>in</strong> areas <strong>in</strong> which foreigners represent the<br />

majority of the residents. The correspond<strong>in</strong>g figure among <strong>in</strong>terviewees<br />

from Central Asia and CIS stands at 33 per cent, followed<br />

by persons from the Middle East (30 per cent), North Africa<br />

(28 per cent) and South/Southeast Asia (28 per cent). People<br />

from Iran (25 per cent) and Southeast Europe (24 per cent) are<br />

least likely to live <strong>in</strong> a residential environment <strong>in</strong>habited predom<strong>in</strong>antly<br />

by foreigners (figure 81).<br />

A breakdown <strong>in</strong>to <strong>Muslim</strong>s and <strong>in</strong>terviewees belong<strong>in</strong>g<br />

to other religions reveals that <strong>Muslim</strong>s (38 per cent) are slightly<br />

more likely than non-<strong>Muslim</strong>s (29 per cent) to live <strong>in</strong> an area<br />
