A breakdown accord<strong>in</strong>g to regions of orig<strong>in</strong> also confirms<br />

the f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>gs from the preced<strong>in</strong>g chapter regard<strong>in</strong>g the practice<br />

of wear<strong>in</strong>g a headscarf. As a rule, women from Southeast Europe<br />

do not wear a headscarf (figure 51). Around one third of <strong>Muslim</strong><br />

women with Turkish orig<strong>in</strong> wear a headscarf.
