• A COMBI-group, that contains the car “Freight Car”, the block “Mainline East” <strong>and</strong><br />

the schedule “Local Freight”, meets the condition, if the “Freight Car” is located in<br />

block “Mainline East” <strong>and</strong> if this car is currently executing the schedule “Local<br />

Freight”.<br />

• A COMBI-group, that contains the engine “Big Boy” <strong>and</strong> the block “Northville<br />

Branch”, meets the condition, if the “Big Boy” is located in block “Northville<br />

Branch”.<br />

• A COMBI-group, that contains the car “Passenger Car” <strong>and</strong> the schedule “Rheingold”,<br />

meets the condition, if “Passenger Car” is currently executing the schedule<br />

“Rheingold”.<br />

• A COMBI-group, that contains the block “Southtown 1” <strong>and</strong> the schedule “Southtown<br />

- Northville”, meets the condition, if there is a train located in “Southtown 1”,<br />

which is currently executing the schedule “Southtown - Northville”.<br />

The following features <strong>and</strong> limitations apply to COMBI-groups:<br />

• Additionally to single vehicles it is also possible to include train groups in COMBIgroups.<br />

COMBI-groups can be included in other groups (such as AND-groups or<br />

OR-groups). COMBI-groups are the only type of groups, where vehicles <strong>and</strong> train<br />

groups can be included in. Adding vehicles or train groups to other groups (such as<br />

AND-groups or OR-groups) may cause unpredictable results. COMBI-groups must<br />

only contain entries referring to vehicles, train groups, blocks or schedules. Other<br />

entries, including other logical groups, contained in COMBI-groups are ignored.<br />

14.4 Operations<br />

It is possible to assign several operations to a push button or on-off switch instead of a<br />

digital address. By doing this, you are able to operate several elements with one single<br />

push button or on-off switch. It is, for example, possible to change the state of several<br />

signals, simultaneously, with one single on-off switch.<br />

Each push button or on-off switch provides two sets of operations – one set for each<br />

state (on/off) of the push button or on-off switch. In this way, you can turn a group of<br />

related signals to green by turning on a certain on-off switch. The signals can be turned<br />

to red again by turning off this switch.<br />

Operations are specified by selecting the symbol of the push button, or on-off switch, in<br />

the switchboard <strong>and</strong> using the Properties comm<strong>and</strong> of the Edit menu. In the following<br />

dialog select the tab labeled Operations. Now select the state that will trigger the oper-
