a requiem for soprano and piano for Wallace Worsley’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame. His symphonic orchestral score for a ballet based on Tchaikovsky’s<br />

opera The Queen of Spades, performed by <strong>Le</strong>s Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal since October 2001, has garnered great acclaim, notably in New<br />

York, Europe, Mexico, and Montréal. Several of his film scores and the ballet are available on compact disc and DVD. At this year’s <strong>Giornate</strong> he will<br />

conduct his score for Julien Duvivier’s Au bonheur des dames as a pre-festival event in the new Teatro Verdi in Pordenone.<br />

musicato tutte le pellicole a partire dal 1985. Oltre a L’Hiron<strong>del</strong>le et la Mésange di Antoine, la cui prima mondiale si è tenuta nel 1984 alla Cinémathèque<br />

Française, gli è stata commissionata nel 1986, in occasione <strong>del</strong> cinquantenario <strong>del</strong>la Cinémathèque stessa, la partitura per Un chapeau de paille d’Italie<br />

(1927) di René Clair. Tra gli altri accompagnamenti per film muti da lui preparati c’è quello <strong>del</strong> 2002 per Greed di Erich von Stroheim. / Composer for<br />

Anything, Tim Rogers, Archie Roach, The Waifs, Moby, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and Elvis Costello. In recent years Jen has mainly<br />

concentrated on developing her skills as a composer, particularly for film and television. Her many credits include scores for Clara Law’s The<br />

Goddess of 1967, the Australian TV mini-series Simone de Beauvoir’s Babies, the documentary Einstein’s Wife, and the silent films Pandora’s Box<br />

and The Sentimental Bloke.<br />

Dave Evans (fisarmonica, piano, organo) ha studiato fisarmonica e piano a Victoria per iniziare ad esibirsi da professionista a Melbourne, più di<br />
