and body, as his Divine power knows we require better than our<br />

ignorance knows how to ask the gifts <strong>of</strong> him. <strong>The</strong>se good gifts<br />

and eveiy other suitable gift asked, we ask in the name <strong>of</strong> his<br />

beloved Son Jesus Christ saying these words, Our Father who art<br />

in heaven.<br />

This Prayer following, is used to be said after the STmon, on the day which<br />

is appointed for commune Prayer : and it is very propre for our state and time,<br />

to move us to true repentance, and to turne backe God's sharpe roddes which<br />

yet threaten us.<br />

God Almightie and heavenlie Father, we acknowledge in<br />

our consciences, and confesse, as the trueth is, that we<br />

are not worthie to lift up our eyes unto heaven, muche<br />
