M. Are there no other Gods who are able to forgive thy sin, but<br />

this one God alone ?<br />

D. No truly, and whosoever seeks forgiveness from any other<br />

creature save from the Creator alone, he is in error, and in<br />

total ignorance <strong>of</strong> the will <strong>of</strong> God.<br />

M. Who gave thee thy knowledge <strong>of</strong> the will <strong>of</strong> God so as that<br />

thou canst say that neither angels nor saints can forgive our<br />

sins, but God alone.<br />

D. <strong>The</strong> word <strong>of</strong> God himself in which his will is revealed to the<br />

children <strong>of</strong> Adam, and from which I learn that what we have<br />

said is true, for it requires <strong>of</strong> us to seek forgiveness <strong>of</strong> sin<br />

from none but from our Heavenly Father alone in the name<br />

<strong>of</strong> his Son Jesus Christ.<br />
