M. What is the duty incumbent on us on that day ?<br />

D. To call upon the name <strong>of</strong> God, to hear the Gospel, and to rest<br />

from bodily labour, except in cases <strong>of</strong> necessity.<br />

M. <strong>The</strong>n it is lawful for us to perform bodily labour on the Lord's<br />

day, if there be a necessity for such work, or if there be want<br />

pressing us ?<br />

D. That is clear, for the Sabbath was made for man's comfort,<br />

yet this is not to be understood, except in special cases.<br />

M. Are these the four commandments <strong>of</strong> the first table which<br />

regard the manner in which God is to be honoured in each <strong>of</strong><br />

them?<br />

D. Yes, verily.<br />

M. What do the other six commandments which thou hast recited<br />

regard ?<br />
