mercifully incline thine eares unto us. Thou foughtest for us even by<br />

thine owne power, when in us there was nether wisdome nor force.<br />

when we by our foolishnes had made our selves sclaves unto strangiers<br />

and mercifully :<br />

unto this day hast thou continued with us the<br />

light <strong>of</strong> thine Evangel, and so ceasest not to heape upon us benefites<br />

both spiritual and temporal. But yet, alas ! O Lord, we clearly see<br />
