Status as on 30.12.05:<br />
- Input data for preparation <strong>of</strong> DPR for Dhanbad and<br />
Kodarrna districts has been collected based on actual<br />
field survey deploying departmental manpower.<br />
Collection <strong>of</strong> data in respect <strong>of</strong> Hazaribagh district<br />
is expected to be completed departmentally by<br />
January’06.<br />
- Complete DPR for Dhanbad district is expected to be<br />
submitted to JSEB by end January’06.<br />
ENERGY CONSERVATION PROGRAMME<br />
DVC has been making continuous efforts to induct efficient<br />
and modern practices in Energy Management System<br />
to increase the availability <strong>of</strong> power with lower Oil, Coal,<br />
Water and Aux. <strong>Power</strong> consumption.<br />
NON-POWER ACTIVITIES OF DVC<br />
FLOOD CONTROL<br />
Out <strong>of</strong> the originally planned eight storage reservoirs<br />
in Damodar basin, construction <strong>of</strong> four multi-purpose<br />
Dams at Maithon, Panchet, Tilaiya and Konar have been<br />
completed in the first stage.
