• During the third consecutive year in a row, the<br />
realization has been cent per cent till November<br />
2005. The energy billed for the year 2005-06<br />
(upto November 2005) were Rs.15647.61 crore<br />
with realisation <strong>of</strong> Rs.15761.79 crore i.e. 100.7%.<br />
• A consortium <strong>of</strong> NTPC, M/s. Geopetrol and M/s.<br />
Canoro has been allocated the Arunachal Oil/Gas<br />
Block under NELP - V, on 7th. October, 2005.<br />
• NVVN transacted business with 17 state utilities<br />
trading in about 833 MUs in 2005-06 (upto 30th<br />
November 2005).<br />
• NTPC has made a policy on Corporate Social<br />
Responsibility - Community Development (CSR<br />
- CD) Policy in July 2004 for expanding its<br />
horizon and social vision by addressing the niche<br />
domains <strong>of</strong> socio-economic issues at National<br />
level through establishing NTPC Foundation.<br />
• NTPC received IPMA - International Project<br />
Management Award for Simhadri for the year<br />
2005. NTPC is the only Indian Company that<br />
has been presented this award ever since the<br />
inception <strong>of</strong> IPMA.<br />
NTPC Auraiya Gas Based <strong>Power</strong> Plant<br />
• NTPC is being ranked among top ten as employer<br />
consistently by various surveys carried out in<br />
2003, 2004 and 2005. M/s Hewitt Associates<br />
ranked NTPC 3rd Best Employer in India in 2003<br />
& 2004, Grow Talent Company & Business World<br />
rated NTPC 3rd Great Place to Work for in India<br />
in 2004 and now in 2005 again NTPC ranked 5th<br />
Best Company to work for in India in the survey<br />
conducted by Mercer Consulting-Business<br />
Today.<br />
3.0 GENERATION PERFORMANCE (as on 30.11.<br />
2005)<br />
3.1 NTPC Stations : As on 30.11.2005, a total capacity<br />
<strong>of</strong> 24,249 MW is under operation at various NTPC<br />
stations. This comprises 32 units <strong>of</strong> 200/210 MW<br />
at Singrauli, Korba, Ramagundam, Farakka,<br />
Vindhyachal, Dadri, Unchahar and Kahalgaon, 25<br />
units <strong>of</strong> 500 MW at Singrauli, Korba, Ramagundam<br />
Farakka, Vindhyachal, Rihand, Talcher-Kaniha<br />
and Simhadri, 6 units <strong>of</strong> 110 MW at Tanda and<br />
Talcher, 4 units <strong>of</strong> 60 MW at Talcher and 22<br />
Gas Turbines and 10 Steam Turbines at Anta,<br />
Auraiya, Kawas, Dadri, Gandhar, Kayamkulam<br />
& Faridabad combined cycle power plants and
