MINISTRY OF POWER<br />
The <strong>Ministry</strong> is promoting sports and cultural activities.<br />
<strong>Power</strong> Sports Control Board (PSCB), with the Minister-incharge<br />
<strong>of</strong> the <strong>Ministry</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Power</strong> as Chairman, constituted<br />
as a nodal agency for arranging various tournaments in<br />
various disciplines every year, all over the country with<br />
the help <strong>of</strong> member organizations. i.e. Central Electricity<br />
Authority and all the Public Sector Undertakings/<br />
Autonomous bodies etc. under the administrative control<br />
<strong>of</strong> the <strong>Ministry</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Power</strong>,<br />
The <strong>Ministry</strong> has a Recreation Club for its staff for looking<br />
after the cultural and sports activities. The Hon’ble<br />
Minister <strong>of</strong> <strong>Power</strong> and the Secretary (<strong>Power</strong>) are its Chief<br />
Patron and Patron, respectively. The teams from <strong>Ministry</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Power</strong> have been taking part in different disciplines<br />
in various tournaments and cultural meets organized by<br />
PSCB, and inter-ministerial tournaments organized by Central<br />
Teams <strong>of</strong> 10th Inter PSU Bridge & 8th Inter PSU Carrom<br />
Tournament, 2005 from <strong>Ministry</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Power</strong><br />
RECREATION ACTIVITIES<br />
Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board (CCSCSB) <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Department <strong>of</strong> Personnel & Training, Government <strong>of</strong> India.<br />
In 2005-06, Shri Randhir Singh Toor <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Ministry</strong><br />
stood first in the Inter <strong>Ministry</strong> Wrestling Tournament<br />
(2005-06) and had represented Central Secretariat Delhi,<br />
in the All India Civil Services Wrestling Tournament (2005).<br />
Shri Paritosh Gupta had represented Central Secretariat<br />
Delhi, in the All India Civil Services Carom Tournament<br />
(2005). The team stood Runners-up. Shri Paritosh Gupta<br />
was also appointed Manager in the prestigious All India<br />
Carrom Tournament held at Pune in January, 2006. In<br />
PSCB carom tournament (2005-06), Shri M. P. Chamoli<br />
was the Winner and Shri Paritosh Gupta was the Runnerup<br />
in singles category. Shri Gupta and Shri Chamoli were<br />
winners in doubles category.<br />
