the Xth Plan till 31.12.2005 at an actual cost <strong>of</strong> Rs. 524.07<br />

Crores and a benefit <strong>of</strong> 259.80 MW has been achieved.<br />

c) National Perspective Plan<br />

National Perspective Plan was formulated by C.E.A<br />

in the year 2000 including the R&M proposals under<br />

Phase-II programme along with the left out schemes<br />

<strong>of</strong> the National Committee (Phase-I programme) which<br />

were under implementation/yet to be implemented at<br />

that time. This Plan indicated a benefit <strong>of</strong> about 7755<br />

MW during the IXth, Xth and XIth Plans through R&M <strong>of</strong><br />

117 schemes having an aggregate installed capacity <strong>of</strong><br />

19370 MW at an estimated cost <strong>of</strong> Rs. 4654 Crores.<br />

e) Plan-wise summary <strong>of</strong> hydro R&M schemes (as on 31.12.2005)<br />

d) Revised Xth, XIth & XIIth Plan Programmes<br />

The status <strong>of</strong> hydro R&M schemes, identified by CEA<br />

under the National Perspective Plan and later on, is being<br />

regularly discussed with the concerned utilities during<br />

the annual review meetings convened by C.E.A and has<br />

been revised in totality in May/June,2005. According<br />

to the Revised Xth/XIth/XIIth Plan programme, a total <strong>of</strong><br />

47 schemes (5 in Central Sector and 42 in State Sector)<br />

are programmed for completion during the Xth Plan.<br />

59 schemes (8 in Central Sector and 51 in State Sector)<br />

are programmed for completion during the XIth Plan. 5<br />

schemes (State Sector) have been shifted to the XIIth<br />

Plan.<br />
