it is crucial for the whole school community to understand the
importance of ICT and set strategic goals related with it. or such a
strategy to be successful, it is important for the school team to pass
through the traditional stages:
• To undertake a mission
• To outline a vision
• To analyse a current situation (strengths, weaknesses,
possibilities, threats)
• To set goals
•
To prepare an action plan
When designing the strategies of ICT implementation, it is
important to evaluate the financial state of a school and teachers’
professional development. The latter is one of the most significant
factors which can influence any strategic change of a school.
According to M. ullan (1998), every strategic change requires
new skills, appropriate behaviour, believes and understanding from
every single participant. These skills can be acquired only after
having implemented new activities into casual practices which is
undoubtedly related with a new behaviour and positive viewpoint
towards one’s professional competences.
When attempting to reach strategic changes in ICT, every
school should pay attention to the separate competences of every
single teacher. Every step in the process of change should be related
with identifying the opportunities of their professional development
and collaboration with administrative staff. It is also important to
discuss and evaluate career opportunities of every teacher taking
into consideration individual and organisational needs.
In order to achieve better teacher motivation, it would
be beneficial to discuss the ICT implementation opportunities
with every teacher separately. It should be related with the
planned performance of an organisation, teachers’ professional
development and the improvement of students’ competences. In
other words, the strategic aims of change are related with teachers’
individual goals and ambitions. When implementing the strategy
of ICT, the administrative staff should discuss the curriculum with
teachers having in mind the integration of different subjects and
