the lack of technical and intellectual recourses to do so. Therefore,<br />

it is crucial for the whole school community to understand the<br />

importance of ICT and set strategic goals related with it. or such a<br />

strategy to be successful, it is important for the school team to pass<br />

through the traditional stages:<br />

• To undertake a mission<br />

• To outline a vision<br />

• To analyse a current situation (strengths, weaknesses,<br />

possibilities, threats)<br />

• To set goals<br />

•<br />

To prepare an action plan<br />

When designing the strategies of ICT implementation, it is<br />

important to evaluate the financial state of a school and teachers’<br />

professional development. The latter is one of the most significant<br />

factors which can influence any strategic change of a school.<br />

According to M. ullan (1998), every strategic change requires<br />

new skills, appropriate behaviour, believes and understanding from<br />

every single participant. These skills can be acquired only after<br />

having implemented new activities into casual practices which is<br />

undoubtedly related with a new behaviour and positive viewpoint<br />

towards one’s professional competences.<br />

When attempting to reach strategic changes in ICT, every<br />

school should pay attention to the separate competences of every<br />

single teacher. Every step in the process of change should be related<br />

with identifying the opportunities of their professional development<br />

and collaboration with administrative staff. It is also important to<br />

discuss and evaluate career opportunities of every teacher taking<br />

into consideration individual and organisational needs.<br />

In order to achieve better teacher motivation, it would<br />

be beneficial to discuss the ICT implementation opportunities<br />

with every teacher separately. It should be related with the<br />

planned performance of an organisation, teachers’ professional<br />

development and the improvement of students’ competences. In<br />

other words, the strategic aims of change are related with teachers’<br />

individual goals and ambitions. When implementing the strategy<br />

of ICT, the administrative staff should discuss the curriculum with<br />

teachers having in mind the integration of different subjects and<br />
