15.4.4 Downloading the PLC Program: Error Messages and Dialogs<br />
The error messages and the dialogs are read in as ASCII files. They need then to be reconverted into the original<br />
file types (see section 15.3.5)<br />

Switch <strong>TNC</strong> to operating mode EDITING<br />
(key on VDU)<br />
Prepare <strong>TNC</strong> for code number input<br />
Enter code number, acknowledge with ENT<br />
Activate data transfer menu<br />
Press arrow key to enter the directory of the external<br />
data medium<br />
Soft key >SHOW ALL< to display all files<br />
If necessary: select desired compensation value list<br />
by pressing the arrow keys<br />
Soft key >TRANSFER< to transfer data<br />
If necessary: download further files<br />
Convert original file extension list<br />
(only error messages and dialogs!)<br />
Soft key zSHOW ALL< to display all file types<br />
Soft key >MODIFY FUNCTIONS<<br />
Press arrow keys to select the file to be converted<br />
Soft key >CONVERT ABC + XYZ<<br />
Soft key >.xxx FILES< for original file type (file<br />
extension)<br />
Enter original file name, acknowledge with ENT<br />
Convert further files, if required.<br />
Delete the ASCII files (.A) that were converted to the<br />
original file types
