(57) Abstract :
An implantable device for intramedullary implantation for fixation of fractured bones, comprising a wire having a bead at the tip,
and a contraption at the base. The contraption and the bead maintain the length of the wire in the medulla of the fractured bone,
and prevent retraction of the base of the wire or piercing of the tip of the wire when the fragments of the fractured bone contract or
collapse.
