A lighting system (10 50 70 90) is provided comprising at least one light source (21 91) <strong>and</strong> at least a first optical element (22<br />

92). The light source (21 91) generates a light beam (12) <strong>and</strong> the first optical element (22 92) refracts the light beam (12). The<br />

light source (21 91) <strong>and</strong> the first optical element (22 92) are arranged such that the light source (21 91) <strong>and</strong>/or the first optical<br />

element (22 92) are movable under the influence <strong>of</strong> a gravitational field in such a way that a distance between the light source<br />

(21 91) <strong>and</strong> the first optical element (22 92) is dependent on an orientation <strong>of</strong> the lighting system (10 50 70 90) with respect to<br />
