(57) Abstract :<br />

The present invention deals with producing arbitrary shaped closed cell metal foam bodies from foam precursor, such as<br />

aluminium foam precursor melt. The method involves a system comprising <strong>of</strong> furnace, crucible, a device to add foaming agent<br />

into the crucible, stirrer, mould with cavity, a quick dispensing mechanism for discharge <strong>of</strong> the molten metal into the mould cavity<br />

<strong>and</strong> suitable conveyer mechanism for preparation <strong>of</strong> multiple arbitrary shaped metal foam bodies <strong>and</strong> withdrawal <strong>of</strong> mould from<br />

the furnace.<br />
