(57) Abstract :<br />

There is provided a method for producing an oxime compound, which is characterized by the steps <strong>of</strong> (a) oxidizing cumene to<br />

produce cumene hydroperoxide, (b) subjecting the cumene hydroperoxide to an ammoximation reaction with ammonia <strong>and</strong> a<br />

ketone in the presence <strong>of</strong> a catalyst to produce a reaction mixture containing an oxime compound corresponding to the ketone <strong>and</strong><br />

2-phenyl2-propanol, (c) separating a fraction <strong>of</strong> 2-phenyl-2-propanol <strong>and</strong> the oxime compound corresponding to the ketone from<br />

the reaction mixture resulting in the step (b), (d) converting 2-phneyl-2-propanol in the fraction to cumene, <strong>and</strong> (e) recycling at<br />

least a portion <strong>of</strong> the cumene resulting in step(d) to step (a).<br />
