Newman (149) Justine Sweet (97) The fishermen in Struisbaai are totally against the proposed development in Struisbaai Harbour. I object to the currently proposed development the strongest possible terms. We strongly object to the any development more than two storeys on erf 848. I herewith confirm as owner of erf 649 my opposition to the development of erf 848 for the reasons explained in my submission annexure. Against it. Be warned, should you receive approval, we will object vehemently to the development. I continue to object to multi-storey buildings in the harbour area. I object to the proposed development of the Struisbaai harbour. Seen in the light of the above and considering the undoable and monocular mitigation measures used to try and substantiate the development, we have to object strongly to the proposed development. I am completely against the development. The proposed development will negatively affect the harbour area. As a tourist, it would be very sad for Struisbaai community should the proposed development be approved. Section 8 Scheme Regulations of LUPO] Business Zone [where the Cape Agulhas Municipality Integrated Zoning Scheme is approved by the Provincial Administration for the Western Cape prior to the granting of a rezoning of the site] or any other zone and the removal of any title deed or other restrictions on the property. The development proponent's observation that a potential precedent could be set in respect of buildings that exceed the SDF's two storey limit are greatly concerning to our clients [p. 125 of dEIR].
