Dynamics and Evaluation of Teacher<br />

Effectiveness (3 cr.)<br />

P: All basic requirements for the Master<br />

of Science in Education, Secondary,<br />

or consent of instructor. Emphasis on<br />

helping in-service teachers identify and<br />

evaluate teacher effectiveness—both their<br />

own and that of others. Includes overview<br />

of the total teaching team, the dynamics<br />

of teaching and how best to provide for,<br />

and evaluate, that effectiveness.<br />

INDEPENDENT STUDY OR Research IN<br />

Research Project in Secondary<br />

Education (3 cr.)<br />

Designed for students to demonstrate<br />

their ability to identify, analyze, and<br />

propose solutions to problems in their<br />

educational areas. Solutions may include<br />

research or a comprehensive review of<br />

the literature, with recommendations.<br />

An oral examination and defense of the<br />

THRESHOLD SEMINAR: CRAFT/CULTURE<br />

Opportunities for students to better<br />

understand their personal development, to<br />

learn and utilize human relations skills, to<br />

and societal terms, and to establish goals for<br />
